Welcome to 2024 on TNT.
First off a quick look back at 2023, just a few summary points, not the long ramble of previous years. Firstly to note review numbers have been down lately, inflation and the cost of living has certainly impacted review numbers in the last few months especially. This won't last forever (lower than usual review numbers that is) and hopefully the economy picks up this year as well, I'm seeing a few green sprouts on the ASX and other markets.
Despite this TNT has rolled out some important improvements during 2023 and they include the continual improvements in the TNT library and the inclusion of addresses in RnT review titles in the general forums following changes in legislation , we think that's a net positive. During the year we also switched to a new hosting company, new server, we beefed up security and sped up the user browser experience, in general increased our spend in that area.
Unlike some other competitor forums running end of life software and spending exactly $0 on forum security.
A big thanks as always to the moderators, the taggers, the security team, they're all contributing behind the scenes daily. Of course thanks to all the members, all the reviewers, they do a sterling job and keep the place ticking over.
Also thanks to the donators during 2023, there has been some generous donations during 2023 which is always much appreciated and helps us to expand and improve the TNT experience.
Sadly a couple of members that posted a lot of reviews since the inception of TNT, and some more recent members passed away in 2023, RIP guys.
We are looking to further improve TNT again during 2024, all suggestions are welcome if you think you have an idea. The highly rated section for example, was introduced after a member suggestion.
We have what we think is an exciting innovation to roll out sometime hopefully in the first quarter of 2024, it's never been thought of for punting forums that we know of, and all members will have the chance to benefit from this idea, it could be a biggie for all. There will be more information on this as it nears completion.
All we ask for 2024 is that you post your reviews of all your sessions, good, bad or average, and in a timely manner so everyone benefits.
